Does evaluation inspire Polish administration?
This is only one of the questions regarding public administration’s attitude towards the outcomes of evaluations, which we will try to answer in the upcoming months. Foundation IDEA for Development is currently involved in the project Use of knowledge in administration – mechanisms of civic supervision. We have obtained a grant from the Citizens for Democracy Programme of the Stefan Batory Foundation.
In September 2015 our Experts will present the findings on how the outcomes of evaluations were taken into consideration when designing the implementation system for the EU funds in 2014-2020 period. We will especially focus on recommendations which could result in lowering administrative burden for future Beneficiaries. We want our project to serve Polish public administration but, at the same time, we expect it to be an inspiration for other NGO’s on how to use evaluation as a tool of civic supervision of public authorities.
The aim of the Citizens for Democracy Programme is to strengthen the development of civil society and the contribution of non-governmental organizations to social justice, democracy and sustainable development. The programme is financed by the European Economic Area (EEA) Grants.
